TEMPOROMANDIBULAR DISORDERS
advanced

Advanced clinical skills in the field of TMD and orofacial pain for physiotherapists and physicians

ENGLISH (with interpreter to Czech)

30th - 31st May 2026

  • 2-day course led by professional lecturer from Israel

  • 16 hours of CPD

  • evidence-based information

  • course organized all over the world

Background:

Orofacial pain (OFP) is one of the most common pain conditions affecting the facial and oral regions. Temporomandibular disorders (TMD) are the primary cause of this type of pain and encompass a wide range of conditions involving the masticatory muscles, the temporomandibular joint (TMJ), and adjacent structures.

While most patients respond well to manual therapy and therapeutic exercise, there is a subgroup of patients with chronic, complex, and persistent conditions that require a high level of clinical expertise and advanced clinical reasoning.

This two-day course is based on learning through real clinical cases, combined with up-to-date theoretical knowledge. The course is conducted in small groups and guided by the instructor and instructional staff. Each case is accompanied by professional demonstrations and hands-on practice of advanced assessment and treatment techniques.

Course Objectives:

By the end of the course, participants will be able to:

  1. Apply an advanced clinical reasoning model in the management of complex TMD and orofacial pain (OFP) cases.

  2. Select and apply advanced manual therapy techniques for complex clinical conditions.

  3. Identify serious medical conditions (red flags) that may mimic temporomandibular disorders.

  4. Integrate diagnostic outcome measures to develop an individualized treatment plan.

  5. Enhance clinical decision-making through case-based learning.

Theoretical part (40 %) and practical part (60 %)
